ZMDI Further Bolsters its Mobile and Multi-Market Sensing Portfolio with Exciting New Products Presented at the Sensor Expo & Conference 2015 in Long Beach, California, June 10-11, 2015

DRESDEN, GERMANY — (Marketwired) — 06/09/15 — ZMD AG (ZMDI), an award-winning global semiconductor company headquartered in Dresden, Germany, and specializing in enabling energy-efficient solutions, is about to enter its next growth phase. According to the company, the major orders won in 2014 from the automotive sector are being executed according to plan, as are the first orders from ZMDI–s Mobile Sensing business line. The management board therefore confirmed that the market launches associated with these major orders will see ZMDI–s growth course accelerate significantly as of 2016. As a global supplier of analog and mixed-signal solutions for automotive, industrial, medical, information technology and consumer applications, ZMDI is currently presenting its leading-edge sensor technologies at the international Sensors Expo & Conference at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California. Products presented at the Sensors Expo & Conference include the ZSSC3154, ZSSC5101 and ZMR5110/5120, among many others.

In 2014, ZMDI won major orders with a volume totaling in the three-digit millions. The focus of these major orders is primarily on high-performance circuits for automotive sensors and for industrial applications. This year, ZMDI also acquired large-volume orders for components for consumer products such as smartphones, tablets and other wearable applications, as well as for digital power management. Adjusting for discontinued operations, ZMDI–s core business grew by an average of 15 percent over the last five years. Against this background of strong order placement, ZMDI is also mapping out new ways to finance growth in order to maintain and expand its current growth phase. The options under consideration range from issuing a bond, raising the company capital, or a listing on the stock exchange.
