Net Medical Xpress Launches Telemedicine Building Blocks Technology for Neurology and Neurosurgery

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — (Marketwired) — 12/16/15 — Net Medical Xpress Solutions, Inc. (OTCQB: NMXS), a provider of a wide range of telemedicine products and services, announced today the launch of its digital paper Telemed Building Blocks technology for Neurology and Neurosurgery.

Net Medical Xpress has implemented a quality improvement initiative called digital paper. This is a new process that uses a secure custom link on a hospital desktop to request a Neurology or Neurosurgery consultation. The link can be added to any smartphone, tablet or desktop. When a specialist consultation is required, a form is filled out electronically and instantly submitted to Net Medical–s call center. Once the call center receives the request, a consult is expedited by simultaneously alerting members of the telemedicine team as well as the appropriate provider on duty.

Net Medical Xpress CEO Dick Govatski said, “We expect this will significantly reduce wait times associated with phone calls and provide a timely and efficient communication method for everyone involved, particularly in a potential life and death emergency where time is of the essence. The quicker a hospital orders a teleneuro consult for a patient, the faster one of our providers can begin offering expert advice to attending doctors in emergency room situations. The current practice that requires a doctor to inform his/her nurse to make a time consuming phone call and retyping information before contacting the doctor is significantly less efficient than communicating using our Building Blocks technology.

Telemed Building Blocks is initially being implemented for all University of New Mexico ACCESS grant hospitals that use Net Medical telemedicine technology for neurology and neurosurgery consults.

Telemed Building Blocks has a low cost entry licensing subscription price of $5,000. Customers are then eligible for the purchase of Net Medical–s additional products including custom programming, call center software, program team management, Amazon HIPAA Cloud servers, telemedicine doctor network and WebRTC video conferencing between providers and patients. Net Medical uses custom Dell hardware for telemedicine while providing the necessary technology for customers to program their own telemedicine systems.

Net Medical Xpress is a multi-faceted telemedicine company with four operating segments. The company provides telemedicine programs for diagnostic and clinical medical services to mobile companies, urgent cares, hospitals, trauma centers, imaging centers, jails, nursing homes, corporate health departments and outpatient medical facilities. Net Medical–s proprietary, web-based technology building blocks enables medical providers to make real-time assessments of patients– conditions and treatment needs.
