Gartner Positions SAP Hybris as a Leader in 2016 Magic Quadrant Report for Digital Commerce

MUNICH — April 4, 2016 — SAP Hybris, a leading provider of omni-channel customer engagement and commerce solutions, today announced it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc., as a leader in the Magic Quadrant for Digital Commerce[1]. This is the third consecutive year that SAP Hybris has appeared in the leaders quadrant.

The report states that “digital commerce platforms enable organizations to build B2B, B2C or B2B-to consumer (B2B2C) commerce sites and support a continuum of business objectives, from the generation of incremental revenue to the enabling transformation of business change. They support the creation of continuing development of online relationships with customers or business customers across multiple retail, wholesale, mobile, direct and indirect sales, digital sales, and call center channels.”

The report evaluated 21 providers of digital commerce platforms based on completeness of vision and ability to execute.

“Customer needs are continuously evolving in today’s digital economy, and businesses need to cater to these needs with nimble, flexible solutions that are geared to each shopper’s preferences, behaviors, and expectations,” said Brian Walker, chief strategy officer, SAP Hybris. “We believe being recognized as a leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant Report for Digital Commerce for the third time is a significant achievement for us, as we continue to partner with both B2B and B2C businesses on their digital commerce and omni-channel initiatives while at the same time simplifying their technology environments.”

According to the report, “leaders demonstrate the ability to provide a depth and breadth of commerce functionality; to deliver commerce capabilities across multiple industries and business models; to deliver commerce platforms that can scale up to support large transaction volumes and high levels of GMV for online sales; to provide sales and support services both directly and through ecosystem application, services and integration with partners; and to deliver additional application functionality that integrates their core commerce platform. Leaders also have financial, technical and organizational viability, and they appear consistently on client evaluations of digital commerce vendors. In addition, they often set the competitive benchmark against which other vendors compare themselves.”
