Future of Education Technology Conference Reveals New Session Tracks for 2017 Program

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL — (Marketwired) — 04/12/16 — The (FETC), one of the largest ed tech events in the U.S., today announced key details of the program for its 37th annual event, taking place January 24 through January 27, 2017 in Orlando, Fla. Among the highlights of is the introduction of five session tracks, designed to meet the needs of the event–s diverse audience of administrators, IT leaders and educators of all levels responsible for using technology to enhance education at their schools and districts.

“Technology is a powerful tool for transforming learning. It can expand the impact of effective teaching practices, advance collaboration, shrink equity gaps and adapt learning experiences to meet the needs of all learners. To this end, we have designed targeted tracks to provide the best in professional learning for all stakeholders committed to using technology to improve education.”

To meet the needs of today–s education technology decision makers, , producer of the event, has performed extensive research to better understand current professional learning needs in the field and develop informative and advice-driven content to appeal to senior-level strategists and educators who make technology buying decisions. The conference also sought to develop targeted, strategic content for administrators, superintendents and other high-level PreK-12 education executives as well as CIOs, CTOs and all IT decision makers.

The result of these efforts is the introduction of five distinct tracks, featuring dynamic sessions and workshops designed to train attendees on emerging technologies and creative implementations to enhance learning. The new tracks include:

: This track offers sessions for educators, curriculum designers, online educators, technology integration specialists and professional development trainers addressing how technology can expand the learning environment beyond the classroom to engage all learners.

: Geared toward chief information officers, IT directors, technologists, IT staff and network administrators, this track will examine the technology infrastructure, networks, data administration, security and internet access that support learning environments.

: Focusing on the latest in assistive and instructional technology in special education, with an emphasis on practical and legal best practices for servicing PreK-12 students with disabilities, the sessions are designed for special education directors, superintendents, Section 504 coordinators, educators, consultants and technologists.

: Developed for preschool directors, curriculum designers, educators, child development researchers and early childhood school administrators, this track will guide attendees on decision making for how and when to incorporate technology into their programs as well as provide product and purchasing information for emerging devices and technology tools for children aged 3-6 years old.

Through these tracks, FETC 2017 will feature more than 400 sessions and workshops focusing on the latest in education technology and exploring current and emerging trends. Led by experts and leaders in education technology, the program will offer unparalleled opportunities to explore the evolving technology solutions and how they can enhance learning and improvement of performance in PreK-12 schools and districts.
