YONO In-Ear Fertility Wearable Now Shipping Following Successful Kickstarter Campaign

SANTA CLARA, CA — (Marketwired) — 07/14/16 — YONO announced today the first customer shipments of its revolutionary wearable, which measures Basal Body Temperature (BBT), tracks user data and then provides relevant information to women trying to conceive. The world–s first in-ear wearable, YONO helps women understand their ovulation cycles and predict their fertility window.

YONO is a comfortable, silicone earpiece that is worn during the night. Once in place, it measures and records continuous body temperature data every five minutes. Since BBT typically increases during ovulation, the recorded data is able to help users forecast the most ideal conception windows. Over longer periods of time, the system increases in accuracy by adjusting the temperature range it associates with ovulation for individual women.

“After many months of engineering efforts, the YONO is now shipping to our Kickstarter backers,” said Vanessa Xi, CEO and founder, YONO Labs. “It has been very challenging to build the world–s smallest wearable, making it a comfortable, accurate and convenient device that can fit in the ear. YONO is more powerful than traditional thermometers and we are very excited that our first customers will be able to start learning about their cycles from our device.”

Customers are looking forward to having access to the more insightful, overnight, continuous body temperature data YONO collects, as compared to a traditional thermometer, which collects only one data point.

According to the CDC, 1 in 8 couples have trouble conceiving or sustaining a pregnancy. With YONO, women will be able to understand their fertility much more accurately. It is clear that the demand for this type of technology is high — YONO–s , which debuted last August and ran for 45 days, yielded almost double the original goal.

Before YONO, women concerned about their BBT had to awake at the same time every morning and go through a complicated process of data collection. Now, women have the option of letting technology do the work much more easily and with much higher accuracy. After a night of wearing YONO, users connect YONO to their smartphones and data automatically syncs into an iOS or Android application. YONO users can also choose to sync data with Apple–s HealthKit. YONO also plans to work with other health and wellness applications, providing customers a convenient way of collecting and analyzing data. As the first company to have a large sample of continuous overnight temperature data, YONO, going forward, will be able to aggregate data and provide more general insights into users– health.

YONO Labs empowers people with solid data about their healthYONO–s first product is the revolutionary fertility in-ear wearable. YONO was featured on and named one of CNN Money–s .

YONO will, in the future, continue to offer new, cutting edge innovations with its small earbud. The small earbud will get even smarter as a continuous vital signs collector — heart rate, blood pressure, and blood oxygen data will be at hand with YONO–s help.

Based in Silicon Valley, YONO Labs was founded by a group of engineers and entrepreneurs passionate about changing the way of people collect and use data. For more information, visit .
