Appcast Named a Finalist for Two Stay Work Play New Hampshire 2016 Rising Stars Awards

LEBANON, NH — (Marketwired) — 08/29/16 — , the first programmatic, pay-per-applicant job advertising exchange, today announced that it is a finalist for two 2016 Rising Stars Awards by New Hampshire. Appcast is a finalist for the Coolest Companies for Young Professionals award, while Dan Larsen, account manager, is a finalist for Young Professional of the Year.

An initiative of Stay Work Play, in partnership with New Hampshire Public Radio, the are designed to celebrate and recognize New Hampshire–s remarkable young professionals — and the initiatives and businesses that seek to recruit and retain them. Selected by a panel of more than 35 judges from throughout the state, Rising Stars Awards finalists represent many of New Hampshire–s leading individuals and organizations.

“By offering radical transparency, extensive community service programs, a commitment to developing our talent, and a workplace in which everyone is valued for their contributions, Appcast strives to be a place where people want to work, grow and stay for the long term,” said Chris Forman, founder and CEO of Appcast. “It is an honor to be named one of the Coolest Companies for Young Professionals as we continue to welcome the best and brightest young talent in New Hampshire and beyond to our organization.”

As a Coolest Companies for Young Professionals finalist, Appcast is recognized for creating an environment to attract and retain young talent. With nearly two-thirds of its employees under the age of 40, Appcast is committed to cultivating the next generation of the workforce. The company does so by enabling its younger workers the opportunity to participate in projects and tasks that most young employees would not normally be given, helping them grow and soar above their peers. As a result, they can gain the experience of an upper-level employee and hone their skills to be future leaders.

In addition, Appcast maintains a flat and transparent organization, where no one has a private office, the company holds daily meetings to discuss how they can do better than the day before, and everyone is aligned on how to further grow the business. Appcast also regularly surveys its employees to understand how they view the culture and general working conditions to ensure everyone is proud and happy to be working there. Moreover, employees can work remotely and set their own hours, contributing to strong work-life balance.

This environment has enabled Appcast–s youngest employees to thrive, including Dan Larsen, Appcast–s most proficient account manager for its sophisticated Clickcast product — a programmatic recruitment media optimization platform. He currently manages 20 clients that actively use, and rely on, Clickcast, while building personal connections, troubleshooting problems and helping them get greatest benefit from their investment. Larsen also demonstrates leadership outside of Appcast, volunteering with Spark, an organization supporting people with disabilities, and the Special Olympics, as well as several local charities. As a finalist in the Young Professional of the Year category, Larsen is recognized as an outstanding young professional working and living in New Hampshire.
