Exponential-e invests in public sector team to boost cloud adoption

Key hires will help public sector embrace full potential with tailored scalable cloud offerings

London, UK – 1 December 2016 – British cloud and network provider, Exponential-e, today announced the growth of its public sector team with the appointment of two senior consultants. Sangeeta Dewan has been appointed senior public sector director with responsibility for the health sector, having risen through the ranks managing healthcare IT contracts at Atos and RPS Group. Ed Renwick has also been appointed senior public sector director and will specialise in the education and local government sectors. Before joining Exponential-e, Ed worked on developing cloud, networking and data propositions for Oracle, Virgin Media and 2E2.

In their new roles, Ed and Sangeeta will be responsible for helping public sector organisations to select and implement the best solutions for their individual needs. Their deep understanding of each sector will enable them to advise customers on the infrastructure, cloud and networking solutions that are best suited to the challenges of their industry and workload.

“Public sector organisations are facing a challenging future with Brexit fears and spending cuts looming. As a result, many are looking to make savings whilst boosting efficiency,” said David Lozdan, head of public sector, Exponential-e. “There is an increasing need for high-capacity, agile services that won’t break the bank. Our investment in our public sector team, spearheaded by Ed and Sangeeta’s expertise in health, education and local government, will enable us to provide premium-grade services and counsel to a growing roster of public sector clients.”

The new appointments demonstrate Exponential-e’s commitment to helping the public sector achieve its digital transformation goals through affordable and flexible cloud and networking. Although IDC has predicted that investment in public cloud is set to double by 2020[1], recent research conducted by Exponential-e found that over 50 per cent of public sector IT executives have not used the G-Cloud framework in the past year. Ed and Sangeeta will help public sector organisations to make up this lost ground through the provision of tailored high-quality IT services.

“I am delighted to join the team at Exponential-e,” commented Renwick, “and I relish the opportunity to work in a dynamic, agile organisation that is well placed to help public sector organisations achieve their digital agenda. Exponential-e has a strong focus on customer experience and a drive to become the global leader. I look forward to contributing to the continued success of the wider team.”
