Booxscale, The Marketplace of Marketplaces, welcomes Ex-Google executive Cliff Hinrichs

London, January 29, 2018 The booking-button innovator Booxscale today announced that it has named Cliff Hinrichs as a new board member, to maximise their opportunities for growth.

Booxscale is the ?marketplace of marketplaces? and champions instant book buttons by surfacing them at the most convenient point in a user journey. The middleware marketing company wants customers to be able to order food, or book an appointment, from just ?one-click?. It has created a one stop shop for apps, publishers and social platforms to gain access to on-demand marketplaces and offer simple sales and booking experiences for customers.

Cliff Hinrichs is currently Managing Partner at Steele Ventures and brings with him an unparalleled expertise in early stage startups and monetisation of e-commerce and publishing platforms. Cliff began his career as a currency derivatives trader for Bankers Trust, and went on to build a profitable, direct-to-consumer mobile video business within Mobix Interactive, as well as co-found his own marketplace startup HomeDirectory Ltd – hailed by the Financial Times as the ?UK?s biggest property portal? in 2000.

He is an experienced angel investor, with a proven track record in 12 startup marketplace businesses across UK, Europe and USA. He spent over a decade in the Google Partnerships team, where in his last role he led the UK business, delivering hundreds of millions of dollars in annual monetisation to the largest publisher clients across news, e-commerce and broadcast and entertainment. He was also one of the first mentors at Campus, Google?s London-based start-up accelerator. Cliff Hinrichs commented:

?I am excited to join Booxscale in its journey to make the on-demand economy even better for all participants. Booxscale?s middleware layer fundamentally deserves to exist, as it greatly increases transaction conversion for local marketplaces, while aggregating and standardising access to their services for users via publishers and search engines. In doing so, Booxscale represents a great step forward in making local advertising actually work.?

Booxscale is in the process of expanding the scope for on-demand bookable business, and creating new revenue streams for established local providers. Announcing the news Jozef Wallis, co-founder at Booxscale, said:

?We are thrilled that Cliff has decided to join Booxscale and believe his skills and experience will be invaluable for our growth plans in 2018 and beyond. Cliff has a comprehensive understanding of the eco-system in which Booxscale operates. Moving into the New Year we are very much looking forward to Cliff?s input on Marketplaces, Publishers and emerging technologies in the space?
