Call for Papers ends June 15

The core motive of the Open Source Backup Conference is the use of Open Source backup solutions such as BAREOS, BURP, ELKAR BACKUP, REAR, AMANDA and others. The conference agenda covers latest developments and future outlooks of Open Source applications for data backup. Significant representatives, decision makers and developers from the Open Source environment meet to exchange ideas and initiate future-oriented projects. The conference also provides latest practical know how as well as the opportunity to socialise with the Open Source community.

Interested open source experts who want to spread data backup expertise over the latest developments, strategic knowledge, or present practical reports are welcome to be a speaker at this year?s Conference (OSBConf). Talks should be around 35-40 minutes long and designed to making knowledge available for practitioners to benefit as well as the Open Source community and a wide variety of industries.

The Call for Papers ends on June 15. Proposals can be submitted via the official conference website at www.osbconf.org. The early bird phase also runs until June 15.

Since 2009, the annual event takes place in Cologne, Germany. Next to the presentations, the organizer dass IT GmbH attaches much importance to strengthening the open source community.
