Clean energy creates prosperity

Nuclear power as a clean energy source is on the rise, also visible in the price of uranium.

Argentina and China (Nucleoeléctrica Argentina and the China National Nuclear Corporation) have just signed an agreement concerning a nuclear project. The Atucha 3 nuclear power plant is to be built jointly. It will be built near Lima and about 100 kilometers northwest of the Argentine capital Buenos Aires. It will use China\-s Hualong-One technology, a reactor that will use enriched uranium as fuel and light water as coolant. The initial life is expected to be 60 years, with a rated gross power output of 1,200 MW.

According to the two parties, the agreement was concluded in an online event, this is \”the beginning of a new cycle of cooperation and mutual understanding, which both companies foresee promising prosperity for both nations, enabling the strengthening of relations for the peaceful development of nuclear energy production, nuclear science and technology, and industrial development.\” Without energy, there is no future, and agreements aimed at contributing to green and low-carbon development not only help address climate change, but also ensure a future with a secure energy supply. The vice president of Argentina\-s National Atomic Energy Commission, Diego Hurtado de Mendoza, called the agreement a \”historic event.\” It shows how important nuclear energy is for a lower CO2 future and how important uranium, and therefore uranium companies, are.

The famous Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan is home to IsoEnergy – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8f3dibYi68 . The Hurricane uranium zone on the company\-s Larocque East property there is seeing particularly high-grade results.

Consolidated Uranium – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqBEmA2zPc4 – has uranium projects in the USA, Australia, Canada and Argentina in its portfolio. These are joined by permitted uranium mines in Colorado and Utah.
