FREMONT, CA — (Marketwire) — 12/12/11 — Lam Research Foundation, the charitable-giving arm of Lam Research Corp. (NASDAQ: LRCX), today announced a US$250,000 grant to Japan-s Ashinaga Foundation supporting orphans of the March 2011 T?hoku earthquake and tsunami.

The new grant, being made through U.S.-based nonprofit Give2Asia organization, will support the construction of the T?hoku Rainbow House in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, which will provide day-to-day and long-term psychological support to children who lost their parents or whose parents were severely disabled by the disaster.
