Marshall University Extends 27-Year Partnership With Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement (Formerly Paciolan)

IRVINE, CA and HUNTINGTON, WV — (Marketwired) — 06/09/15 — Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement (formerly Paciolan), the leading provider of ticketing, marketing, fundraising and analytics solutions in college athletics, today announced it has extended its long-term partnership with Marshall University (Marshall). Marshall will continue to leverage the company–s industry-leading ticketing and fundraising solutions, and in conjunction with the extended partnership add Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement–s Access and email marketing solutions. Marshall has been a Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement partner since 1988.

“We are thrilled to continue our long-term partnership with Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement and implement new technology to provide our fans with an exceptional experience at every event,” said Mike Hamrick, Director of Athletics at Marshall University. “Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement powers our ticketing, fundraising and marketing efforts, allowing Marshall Athletics to offer our fans industry-leading technology at every touch point.”

With the renewed partnership, Marshall will implement Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement–s Access Management solution to empower the college with a robust digital ticketing system. Marshall will utilize the technology to provide fans with print-at-home and mobile tickets that can be scanned at all events to improve the gameday experience and better serve fans by eliminating will call lines at the box office.

Leveraging Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement–s online ticketing system, Marshall will continue to efficiently sell tickets and process donations in real-time through a user-friendly website at HerdZone.com. The all-in-one eCommerce site allows Marshall to offer fans and donors the ability to purchase tickets to all events, make donations via Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement–s fundraising software and manage their accounts online.

“Providing an exceptional gameday experience for our fans is of the utmost important,” said Aaron Goebbel, Associate Director of Athletics for External Affairs at Marshall University. “Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement–s technology now enables us to market our events and naturally increase the fan experience through improved communication and user-friendly software.”

Marshall will also integrate the company–s email marketing solution PACmail to expand its communication to fans and broaden its marketing reach. PACmail will enable the university to tailor segmented messages to instantly reach season ticket holders and fans to increase awareness of ticket sales, fundraising opportunities, promotions and upcoming events.

“We are proud to continue to provide industry-leading solutions through our partnership with Marshall University,” said Dave Butler, Chief Executive Officer of Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement. “We look forward to delivering a full range of services and evolving technology to enhance the fan experience through ticketing, fundraising and marketing services.”
