NEW YORK, NY — (Marketwired) — 09/28/15 — Lucid, the leader in , today announced that 17 U.S. cities and counties have joined in just the first three months since the program–s launch. Connected Cities, a technology-driven program by Lucid, is designed to maximize resource efficiency and resiliency by bringing the municipal buildings of at least 100 U.S. cities online with Lucid–s BuildingOS over the next three years. Los Angeles, San Francisco, Santa Monica and Hayward, CA, Denver, Orlando, Park City and others have already signed up and committed to connecting their buildings.

Participating cities receive access to BuildingOS, Lucid–s cloud-based building management platform, which centralizes energy and water data for all city buildings, empowering data-driven resource decisions. Participants also receive access to the BuildingOS Energy Star application, which automates Energy Star benchmarking and disclosure for all buildings; and the BuildingOS Bill Trends application, which automatically collects and analyzes all historic utility bill data.

Bolstering the Connected Cities offering is the Connected Cities Network, a network of experts in city and county resource efficiency. The network fosters collaboration between cities to share scalable tactics and creates a network effect for all city stakeholders to collectively yield significant cost, energy and time savings.

“Cities and counties have placed energy resiliency and self-sustainability front and center on lists of priorities,” said Vladi Shunturov, Lucid–s CEO. “The demands on urban infrastructures are only going to grow and change in ways that right now are difficult to predict. Connected Cities provides municipalities the technology, tools, and network to maximize resource efficiency and get measurable results.”
