iPass Welcomes Chief Marketing Officer June Bower

REDWOOD SHORES, CA — (Marketwired) — 12/02/13 — (NASDAQ: IPAS), the leader for and , announced today that mobile technology marketing expert June Bower has been appointed chief marketing officer. In this role, Bower will be responsible for all integrated and product marketing and will report to the CEO. She brings more than 25 years of strategic marketing experience in creating next-generation offerings with a strong consumer focus at industry heavyweights including Cisco, Octel, Alcatel, Adobe and Apple.

Bower most recently served as executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Financial Engines, where she developed marketing programs and products to fuel 35% annual growth. While at Cisco, Bower founded and led the WebEx direct-to-consumer online business where she grew the business from nothing to a substantial portion of the Web-Ex division-s annual revenue. Prior to Cisco Bower has worked for companies that have been a global force in mobile, including Octel, Openwave and Alcatel, where she headed product marketing for the entertainment software division. She was also vice president of marketing for Mobilitec, a mobile startup which was acquired by Alcatel-Lucent the month the two companies merged.

She began her career at Apple, where she was responsible for marketing software products and led consumer marketing for the Macintosh. Bower holds a B.A. in psycholinguistics from Stanford University and an M.B.A from Pepperdine University.
