RTX64 Power combined with KPA EtherCAT® Master Performance

koenig-pa GmbH (KPA), a leading provider for EtherCAT products, announc-es a KPA EtherCAT Master Stack running on RTX64-2014 of IntervalZero. This combines 64 Bit Windows® with hard real time and the benefits of Ether-CAT. Estimated availability of the release is beginning of 2015.
RTX64 of IntervalZero – Outstanding by 64-Bit-Adressing
Real-time applications running on 64-Bit-Windows with RTX64 can – depend-ing on the actual physically available RAM size – access max 128 GB not paged storage. For comparison: 32-Bit-Windows-7 has a non paged memory limit at max 2 GB. The now directly accessible real-time storage in Windows and the resulting performance distinguishes RTX64-2014 from virtualization alternatives and 32-bit-based real-time operating system solutions.
KPA EtherCAT Master offers Solutions for Sophisticated Systems
All KPA EtherCAT master functions for class A and B as well as sophisticated feature packs and extensions (such as Hot Connect, Cable Redundancy, Multi-Master) are supported.
The combination of Windows with RTX64-2014 and KPA EtherCAT Master allows developers to create sophisticated and intelligent systems for a variety of markets. These include in particular the industrial automation, test beds and motion control.
