LAS VEGAS, NV — (Marketwire) — 01/10/12 — , a leading provider of cloud-based energy management software and hardware, today announced the company is teaming with Monster, a manufacturer of advanced power protection and connectivity solutions for the home, to deliver its energy management application to Monster customers. The Monster Power Control App enables end users to manage, monitor and control home appliance settings and power consumption from the palm of their hand and is based on People Power-s Energy Services Platform (ESP).

“The average home has 20-30 devices running at any given time driving up energy consumption and resulting in increased costs to people and the planet,” said Gene Wang, CEO of People Power. “We are thrilled to be working with Monster to give their customers an easy, convenient way to cut power consumption from their smart phone.”

“We are pleased to partner with People Power to offer our customers a beautifully rendered, easy-to-setup, money-saving energy solution on their smart phone,” said Vern Smith, general manager, Monster Power. “People Power delivers an app that revolutionizes the customer experience for power management.”

The Monster App enables users to manage the power consumption and settings of home appliances from their smart phones. Essentially, this new application provides consumers with the opportunity to virtually control any electronic device in their home while on the go. Key features include:

Provides useful information in an easy-to-read format for end users

Allows users to track valuable power usage dollars by device over time

Enables consumers to pre-schedule control of all connected devices

At the AT&T Developer Summit, AT&T announced that People Power had won its “Power Your Future” contest, which was a challenge to mobile application developers to create a smart phone or tablet application that delivers an environmental or energy efficient benefit. Live on the stage at the Developer Summit, Bill Bien, vice president of sales and marketing for People Power, demonstrated how users can use the People Power application to easily turn on and off energy consuming devices, managed by user defined schedules, and quickly set up the management of devices and appliances.
