Ethernet – a more and more harsh business.
In the past, Ethernet has been the standard for data cabling but only in office areas. Today, it is also used for industrial applications. But here, a network encounters interferences that have great influence on the quality of transmission. The risk of interference by vibration, dirt, humidity or harmful substances is much higher at the connection points.
X|Synergy – the answer to growing market needs.
The demand for cost reduction by automation is growing and implicates the implementation of standards also on the physical level for the communication within networks. This requires standardized connectors. Whether it is for devices in outdoor environments, in vibrating equipment or exposed to chemicals – X|Synergy is specialized for harsh environments. The German Group aims for market leadership in reliable connectivity for Ethernet networks. Managing Director Torsten Janwlecke comments the situation “We forecast a yearly growth in this segment of about 30 to 50 percent and we want to contribute our part with our innovative solutions”.
Masses of applications, one system.
RJ45 has become the connection system of the internet par excellence. X|Synergy too, essentially relies on RJ45. Whether it is about device connection systems, pc board jacks, flanges, plugs or cables – the X|Synergy line is a system that is always fit for purpose. It offers besides IP20 solutions also protection classes up to IP67, it is compatible to 10 GBit, Cat.6A, mounts easily into devices and allows for a trouble-free handling in combination with different cable and housing types.
Conventional pc board jacks for THR and SMT soldering are available as different types of packaging (Tape on Reel, plastic tray or loose in boxes). All products are of course RoHS-compliant and meet all current standards – worldwide.
Innovations welcomed by device manufacturers.
The system that has been taken out a patent uncouples for the first time the device jack from the pc board. The SFP compatible edge connector smoothes mounting tolerances between pc board and housing and thus allows for connection of RJ45 or fiber optic systems. Magnetics circuits integrated in RJ45 jacks for 10/100 Mbit and 1 Gbit simplify the layout process for pc board designer. In RJ45-Buchsen integrierte. The system enables manufacturers to automate production of devices with high protection class. Besides connection solutions for protection class up to IP67 the product line offers a range of dedicated RJ45 pc board jacks of various designs – developed to guarantee secure contact during operation without special housings. The idea to no longer install device jacks as part of the soldering process but to relocate this procedure to the assembly process has been readily welcomed by a great many device manufacturers. As well if the mechanical strain exerted by bayonet fittings should not affect the delicate connections on the pc board.
