Gnip First to Market With 30-Day Full Historical Coverage of Twitter

BOULDER, CO — (Marketwire) — 02/16/12 — Gnip, Inc. (), the leading provider of public social media data for enterprise applications, today announced the launch of 30-Day Replay for Twitter, a new product bringing public historical Twitter data to the market for the first time. Stemming from a partnership formed by Twitter and Gnip to provide the U.S. Library of Congress with the entire archive of public historical Tweets, Gnip is the first reseller to provide full coverage of historical commercial Twitter data to the market.

“We have solved a fundamental challenge our customers face when working with realtime social data streams,” said Jud Valeski, Co-Founder and CEO of Gnip. “Since you can-t predict the future, it-s impossible to filter the realtime stream to capture every Tweet you need. Hindsight, however, is 20/20. With 30-Day Replay for Twitter, our customers can now replay history to get the data they want.”

Replay for Twitter provides full-coverage access to the past 30 days of historical Twitter data, enabling customers to:

Easily analyze unexpected events by capturing Tweets from the full firehose after the event has taken place.

Recover Tweets missed due to technical hiccups in their infrastructure.

Access a rolling window of the past 30 days of Tweets to create rich product demos to pitch new clients.

“As both a partner and one of Gnip-s largest customers, we-ve been working with Replay for Twitter since November and absolutely love it,” said Matt Thomson, VP of Business Development & Platform. “Managing a realtime stream of data can be difficult. With Replay for Twitter, Gnip has built an innovative solution that solves key business and technical challenges to ensure that we get every Tweet we need.”

“We-ve been working for the past year to solve this problem, starting with our work to provide the full archive of Twitter data to the Library of Congress,” said Rob Johnson, VP of Product Strategy at Gnip. “While we had to work through a range of technical challenges to bring it to life, 30-Day Replay is a key piece of our promise to deliver the enterprise-grade products our customers expect.”

Thirty-Day Replay for Twitter is a now available through Gnip-s PowerTrack product. For more information about these or any of Gnip-s other services contact .
