Smart Card Alliance Latin America (SCALA) Hosts First Smart Card Summit at Expo Seguridad 2012 in Mexico City

PRINCETON JUNCTION, NJ — (Marketwire) — 03/13/12 — The chapter (SCALA) is bringing its industry knowledge and experience to Expo Seguridad Mexico 2012, the premiere security exhibition, seminar and conference program in Latin America. SCALA, in partnership with Reed Exhibitions, will host the first smart card conference, “” and training workshop within Expo Seguridad on April 24-26, 2012 at Centro Banamex in Mexico City.

“As the second biggest smart card market in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), Mexico is the ideal venue for SCALA to build a broader understanding of the technology and its many possible uses,” said Edgar Betts, associate director, SCALA. “We are looking forward to adding our smart card expertise to the world-class content at this event, and offering education to the more than 14,000 attendees expected at Expo Seguridad.”

Attendees will come away with a thorough knowledge of everything from why people are moving to smart cards to how the basic structure of smart card architecture is formed and utilized.
