Rumblefish Catalog Surpasses One Million Songs Pre-Cleared for Music Licensing

PORTLAND, OR — (Marketwire) — 04/05/12 — , the leader in music licensing for social media, today announced that its catalog has surpassed one million songs, making it the world-s largest pre-cleared catalog of music. Each song in the catalog is available for on-demand licensing for social video, slideshows, mashes and games via or through one of the many Rumblefish partners, including , and . Rumblefish also now operates the most licensed independent catalog in the world, with more than 5.4 million soundtracks licensed.

New content partnerships have helped grow the Rumblefish Music catalog from 35,000 songs, to more than 500,000 in 2011, and now to more than one million songs today. APM Music, CD Baby and Indaba were recently added to the Rumblefish catalog, and more partnerships are in the works. The Rumblefish catalog now has more than 100,000 artists that have been paid millions of dollars in royalties from licensing revenue.
