Compendium Launches Enhanced Social Media Integration

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — (Marketwire) — 05/16/12 — Compendium (), a that helps organizations capture and create original content in a branded hub for distribution to any marketing channel, has enhanced its social media integration tools, making it easier for content marketers to significantly expand their marketing reach and drive website traffic.

Indiana University estimates that 30 percent of their prospective student website traffic results from Compendium-s social media promotion tools, which have expanded their audience reach by 50,000 prospective students or more.

The university gives their undergraduate students the ability to share stories on the university blog about their college experience targeted to high school students back home. Approximately 100 students share posts about topics ranging from the 10 best things to do your freshman year to the best day and time to do your laundry.

Compendium-s social media promotion tool gives each student author the opportunity to set their preferences to automatically post their story to Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn once a content administrator approves it.

“Compendium-s social media promotion tools are unique and it-s the reason we selected Compendium to power our platform,” said Jay Steele, data manager of Indiana University-s Office of Enrollment Management. “The ability for our student bloggers to automatically share their posts on Facebook and Twitter has significantly increased our web traffic and click rates. We-ve been able to reach an audience far beyond those who directly follow Indiana University.”

The Compendium platform also enables program administrators to share content across multiple social networks with just one click, reducing the time marketers need to spend writing separate posts for Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. This feature also allows marketers to manage multiple accounts on the same social media channel, and to simply check to which account they would like their content posted.

Marketers also can schedule social media posts that will appear in the future to maximize content exposure and to coincide with planned conferences, webinars, promotions and other events. In the event a social media network is down, the Compendium solution automatically tries the post again and will notify marketers if there is a problem.

“The whole idea of content marketing is to create and share content that people want to see, and our new social media enhancements makes the sharing process much easier,” said Frank Dale, president and CEO of Compendium. “Automating social sharing of content and encouraging authors to share content on their individual social networks results in greater website traffic.”

Compendium will host a webinar, “Fuel your content marketing: social sharing & blogging,” that will give tactical advice on how to leverage social sharing and blogging for content marketing success, on Wednesday, May 30, 2-3 pm Eastern. Registration is at .

Compendium software helps marketers easily create, capture and distribute their story online using a branded hub. Founded in 2007, Compendium has more than 350 clients in various industries, representing thousands of users. Compendium is headquartered in Indianapolis.
