Mahindra Satyam Works With Microsoft to Modernize Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Licensing and Registration

PARSIPPANY, NJ — (Marketwire) — 08/16/12 — Mahindra Satyam, a leading global consulting and IT services provider, today announced the launch of the Motor Vehicle Enterprise Solution (MOVES) for modernizing Department of Motor Vehicles- business operations. MOVES addresses the needs of financially constrained state and local governments to move into the future with a proven software platform that not only delivers a better DMV customer experience but also reduces the risk of implementation.

MOVES is based on Microsoft-s Dynamics CRM, robust and flexible software that enables DMVs to:

Focus on DMV business rather than technical complexities of implementation

Enhance service delivery to citizens using multiple channels, leveraging the citizen-centric infrastructure of Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Use built-in features to get a 360-degree view of citizen relationships and consolidated view of all business functions

Provide comprehensive role-based security out-of-the-box and configurable to jurisdiction policies

Establish business processes upfront and execute them in the background easily and effectively

Reduce training time through a familiar user interface that looks and acts like Microsoft Office

Deploy a flexible, scalable and extensible solution that reduces cost of change and operations.

In many states, the DMV was the first government agency to embrace citizen-facing, computerized functionality, and today “jurisdictions often have a hard time keeping up with higher transaction volumes, delays and longer lines at the DMV office,” said Arvind Malhotra, Senior Vice President, Strategic Accounts, Mahindra Satyam. “Our partnership with Microsoft has enabled us to develop a low-risk approach to modernize with the reliability and sophistication of an established software platform.”

Andy Pitman, a director in Microsoft-s Public Sector Industry Solutions organization, said, “Today-s government IT solutions need to provide responsive services to citizens while balancing the financial realities of state and local governments. We are pleased to have Mahindra Satyam maximize the inherent value of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform, which will enable DMV agencies to enhance their service to licensed drivers and vehicle owners.”
