The manetch platform is the first website worldwide that helps business leaders in organizing targeted knowledge and experience exchange. This new service from Berlin, Germany, has transferred the online dating concept into the business world in order to efficiently bring together the right networking partners.
The manetch CEO Sara Maria Spiller explains how the idea evolved: “We have a background in organizing management conferences. At some point, we noticed that most of the value is generated during the breaks between the speaking presentations. Very often, business relationships that last many years, are created. However, networking is very random and thus inefficient. In order to change that, we started developing an algorithm which identifies the most interesting connections. With the launch of the manetch website, we make this approach available to the worldwide business community.”
The algorithm is based on a questionnaire that focuses on the know-how as well as the current priorities and challenges of the users. The “business matchmaking” process is complemented by the possibility to organize on- and offline meetings with a couple of mouse clicks. Those who prefer a personal service, can book the meeting concierge who actively introduces the meeting counterparts and even books the table for the business lunch, if desired.
The manetch platform is also available at selected trade shows and conferences. The participants can organize their meeting agenda already before arriving onsite in order to make sure they don-t miss out on the right connections. Currently, manetch focuses on making the service available to more events in order to build a bridge between the on- and the offline world.
