Message Bus Sponsoring Two Effective Scala Meetups

Both meetups will feature Scala veterans who will lead discussions on subjects of interest to Scala developers of all skill levels. Marius Eriksen of Twitter will go beyond what he wrote in his Effective Scala document and talk about how these best practices have improved Twitter-s Scala usage. David Pollak, creator of the Lift web framework, will discuss moving beyond object-oriented programming. Mike Slinn of Micronautics Research Corporation and lead organizer of BASE will present a tutorial on the mechanics of Java / Scala interoperability. Andrew Headrick of Ticketfly will be the M/C.

At each meetup, Effective Scala will give away two copies of Jet Brain-s IntelliJ IDEA 12 and JRebel. As well as 2 e-copies of “Monadic Design Patterns,” published by Artima.
