Compugen Awarded HP Partner in Excellence Award

TORONTO, ONTARIO — (Marketwire) — 02/26/13 — Compugen Inc. today announced that it has been recognized with an HP Partner in Excellence Award for Canada Philanthropy at the 2013 HP Global Partner Conference.

HP Partner in Excellence Award winners are selected by a panel of HP Channel executives and presented to outstanding HP partners worldwide who have demonstrated exceptional business performance, achieved significant overall growth, have delivered innovative solutions to customers, or have demonstrated IT innovation through philanthropic activities in their local communities.

The HP Partner in Excellence – Canada Philanthropy Award honours Compugen for its ongoing work with Canadian literacy organization Frontier College and especially for its contributions to the College-s Virtual Learning Portal, an innovative use of Microsoft-s Lync technology, the public Internet and available new and refurbished computers that bring together Frontier College tutors with selected learners from remote and aboriginal communities to overcome the learning challenges of Canada-s vast distances.

Andrew Stewart, Compugen-s vice president of Corporate Services and Marketing, described Compugen-s relationship with Hewlett-Packard as, “deep, long-term and fruitful for Compugen and its customers. The HP Partner programs help us to frame our business discussions in terms of the latest technologies; they support smart solution sales, coherent messaging, continuous learning for our teams, and productive dialogue with Hewlett-Packard.”

“In appreciation of this philanthropy award from Hewlett-Packard, and in memory of our distinguished colleague and friend Gilbert Boucher, Compugen-s VP, Eastern Region, who passed away on 6 February 2013, and for whom the literacy initiatives of Frontier College in Quebec were of deepest significance, Compugen is announcing today an additional $30,000 contribution to these initiatives this year,” said Stewart.

“It is an honour to recognize the efforts of Compugen, this year-s HP Partner in Excellence – Canada Philanthropy Award winner,” said Andrew Eppich, vice president, Partners and Channels, Enterprise Group, HP Canada. “Compugen exemplifies the spirit of good citizenship; dedicating time, talent and technology to solve some of today-s toughest social challenges for the benefit of the communities in which its employees live and work.”
