IRVINE, CA — (Marketwire) — 03/04/13 — Sage North America announced today the appointment of Marc Scheipe as chief financial officer. Sage is a leading global provider of accounting, ERP and other business management applications and services for small and medium-sized businesses, with more than 6 million customers worldwide.
Mr. Scheipe was most recently with Ally Financial, Inc. (formerly GMAC) as its chief financial officer of global business functions. In this role, Mr. Scheipe managed a large finance function in addition to other corporate shared services. Before joining Ally, Mr. Scheipe was the CEO and president of FrontStream Payments, Inc. Mr. Scheipe also spent several years at Bank of America in various sales and operations leadership roles including card services, small business and bank/partner sales. In his new role with Sage, Mr. Scheipe reports to Sage North America CEO Pascal Houillon and is based in the company-s Lawrenceville, Ga. office.

Mr. Scheipe started his career in the United States Navy as an FA-18 strike/fighter pilot. While in the Navy, he attained the rank of lieutenant commander and held various roles in operations, training and maintenance. He is a distinguished graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School. In addition, Mr. Scheipe is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and a TOPGUN graduate.
