National Collegiate Hockey Conference Selects TST Media to Power New Online Destination Designed to Connect, Engage Fans

MINNEAPOLIS, MN and ST. PAUL, MN — (Marketwire) — 03/07/13 — , a leading provider of web and mobile-based software solutions for sports organizations, today announced it has been selected by the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC), a new NCAA® Division I men-s hockey conference, to design and maintain the conference-s website, . The announcement was jointly made this morning by Justin Kaufenberg, co-founder and chief executive officer of TST Media and Jim Scherr, NCHC commissioner, at the 24th annual Let-s Play Hockey Expo at RiverCentre in St. Paul, Minn.

Under the terms of the agreement, the NCHC will use TST Media-s proprietary sports software, Sport Ngin, to power its conference website and connect with conference stakeholders through online, mobile and social media channels. Leveraging Sport Ngin-s rich functionality, NCHC can easily update player and coach profiles, team rosters, game schedules and results and other conference information, and offer high-quality, integrated experiences and engagement to fans.

“The NCHC-s selection of Sport Ngin to manage its web and mobile presence represents another important milestone in the ongoing growth and development of TST Media, and serves as further evidence of our unique ability to meet the diverse marketing and digital commerce needs of today-s hockey organizations,” said Kaufenberg. “Sport Ngin offers customers a great deal of value and flexibility, so the application can be easily refined as the conference-s communication needs evolve, and as fan and media interest in its member schools grows.”

“With the help of TST Media-s development team and through Sport Ngin-s many leading features, this newly-launched website will serve as the centerpiece of the NCHC-s communications strategy to generate brand awareness and stimulate fan engagement heading into our first season of play later this year,” said Scherr. “Ultimately, we aligned ourselves with TST Media because of its extensive hockey experience, which includes the management of similar online platforms for the world-s largest pond hockey tournament, the U.S. Pond Hockey Championships, and nearly one-fourth of all the hockey clubs in North America.”

The NCHC-s members include Colorado College, University of Denver, Miami University (Ohio), University of Minnesota at Duluth, University of Nebraska at Omaha, University of North Dakota, St. Cloud State University, and Western Michigan University. Conference play is scheduled to begin in mid-October of 2013. The first conference championship, the winner of which will earn an automatic berth in the NCAA Division I Men-s Ice Hockey Championships, will take place March 21-22, 2014 at Target Center in Minneapolis.
