FREMONT, CA — (Marketwire) — 03/19/13 — DCG Systems, Inc. today announced that it has appointed Ronen Benzion to President of DCG Systems. Ronen will assume the position of President for Dr. Israel Niv, who will continue to serve as Chief Executive Officer. In their respective roles, Mr. Benzion will be expanding products into Inspection and Metrology along with continuing to lead the existing three Product Groups, Field Operations and US Manufacturing Operations, while Dr. Niv will focus on identifying new business opportunities and expanding DCG markets to further grow the company.

Prior to joining DCG, Mr. Benzion served as Corporate Vice President, President of Applied Materials Israel, and General Manager of the Process Diagnostics and Control (PDC) business unit at Applied Materials Inc. He was responsible for overseeing operations, including maximizing profit, establishing innovative and world-class quality product, growing company share in the mask and wafer inspection markets and creating solutions that enhanced the company-s overall performance in the metrology and inspection markets. He led that business unit to record results growing market-share, revenue and profitability.
In addition, Mr. Benzion was responsible for business development, government relations, community affairs and academia relations in Israel. Mr. Benzion joined Applied Materials in 1997 following the company-s acquisition of Opal, Inc., and was promoted up through various positions of increasing responsibility in product development and management. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Tel-Aviv University.
