The addition of these security veterans allows Cylance to further enhance its products and services, enforcing preventative, predictive and pre-incident capabilities — or — to advanced threats. The new executives will help guide the organization-s drive to establish a proactive, holistic approach to security to solve some of the biggest issues that the industry and Cylance-s customers face today.

Dr. Shook will help run Cylance-s global services delivery platform but also guide its products and services to prevent and respond to advanced security threats. Additionally, he brings deep expertise in incident analysis and response, having led Global Fortune 100 companies through some of the most notorious information security breaches on record.

“Indicators of compromise can help you find risks, but to qualify those risks and differentiate them from threats, you need to understand their use,” said Dr. Shook. “Cylance leverages senior leadership and experience to consult with clients to identify and respond to threats, a vision I believe in and something I-m excited to be a part of.”

The Cylance executive team is also expanding with the addition of Gregory Fitzgerald. As Chief Marketing Officer, Fitzgerald is responsible for driving the Company-s strategic positioning, brand awareness and demand generation in the marketplace. Fitzgerald also comes to Cylance with an impressive background in security as he was former Senior Vice President of Corporate Marketing at Fortinet and held marketing leadership positions at Sourcefire and TippingPoint (a division of 3Com).

Mark Weatherford joins the Advisory Board and will be advising Cylance on its path as a Company. While at the Department of Homeland Security, Weatherford has been focused on the Nation-s cybersecurity preparedness including securing the United States- critical infrastructures and managing the response to large cyber attacks or breaches. Prior to joining The Chertoff Group and his time at the Department of Homeland Security, Weatherford was the Vice President and Chief Security Officer of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation and has served as the Chief Information Security Officer for both the State of California and State of Colorado.

“There has not been a more important time for our nation and its economy to protect against cyber attacks and Cylance is addressing it with a full cycle of prevention and response,” said Mark Weatherford, a Principal at The Chertoff Group. “It-s exciting to join the advisory board of a company that understands the attacker mindset and can do something to prevent these threats.”

Gordon Snow joins Cylance-s Advisory Board providing the Company with insight and guidance leveraging his time in the FBI-s Cyber Division where Snow was responsible for drafting the government-s Cyber Counterintelligence Plan along with leading the National Cyber Joint Task Force.
