Affinegy Powers the Internet of All Things(TM) With Latest Version of Its TR-069 ACS Platform

AUSTIN, TX — (Marketwire) — 03/28/13 — Affinegy (), a global provider of technology solutions that promote profitable and reliable connections in the home, announced today the release of Version 6 of its TR-069 Auto Configuration Server (ACS) platform.

“This new version completes the integration of the sophisticated, industry-proven TR-069 technology that we acquired last year from Sagemcom into Affinegy-s platform,” said Affinegy CEO and Co-Founder Melissa Simpler. “Version 6 provides a flexible and powerful platform for our partners who are building new categories of connected services in the home.”

Affinegy-s hand has been further strengthened by market forces, which have left the company as a world-leading independent player in the fast-growing connected device management space. In addition to its , Affinegy has made tremendous strides overseas, where its adoption is fueling the company-s push into approximately 40 million homes worldwide.

Joel Espelien, a Senior Analyst with The Diffusion Group, said the company-s “Switzerland approach” to the industry has become a differentiator.

“Building on a strong foundation of interoperability with device manufacturers and service providers, Affinegy has a great opportunity to extend cloud-based network management beyond today-s operator CPE (customer premises equipment) to the new world of connected consumer devices and OTT (over-the-top) services,” said Espelien.

“By enhancing its interoperability with device manufacturers and service providers alike, Affinegy has become a company to watch, not only in terms of making The Connected Home a reality, but also in extending its technology to other less-mature areas.”

Affinegy is fulfilling its mission to become “The Platform for the Internet of All Things,” according to Art Lancaster, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder. “Most of today-s TR-069 based deployments only manage devices provided by the broadband operator. With our new Version 6 software platform, we support all connected devices including the rapidly growing number of devices that subscribers own and connect to their home networks. Affinegy-s platform includes its powerful ACS server, easy customer portal user experiences, and embedded TR-069 clients supporting the latest standards for proxying and advanced TR-181i2 data models.”
