InFocus Announces Release of New Mondopad

PORTLAND, OR — (Marketwired) — 04/15/13 — Award-winning digital display manufacturer InFocus recently unveiled the new version of its widely popular Mondopad.

The next iteration Mondopad maintains all of the original features that made its predecessor a hit in business and education markets, with a few upgrades that set it apart as a truly innovative technological achievement.

“Our goal with the Mondopad is to be as forward thinking as possible,” said Dave Duncan, product marketing manager for InFocus. “We make products that not only exceed the needs of today, but also anticipate the needs of tomorrow.”

The improved Mondopad features a smaller bezel, allowing for a wider touch area and improved sensitivity across its 55-inch display. The touch capabilities have been improved as well, with the newest version boasting a five-point touchscreen and enhanced application compatibility for current and future software releases. InFocus has doubled the amount of optical touch sensors in the new Mondopad from two to four, which makes for smoother, quicker and cleaner recognition of touches, gestures and handwriting for one or multiple users. The device comes standard with a solid-state hard drive that operates faster and more reliably than magnetic drives.

The Mondopad also features a digital interactive whiteboard, document annotation, business-class video conferencing and more. It allows users to share, view and control applications for tablets and smartphones, and comes with a full version of Microsoft® Office 2010 Suite.

In addition to the Mondopad-s advances, InFocus is ensuring that customers get the most out of the device by offering helpful manufacturer virtual training sessions. Available in two and four-hour varieties, users can learn how they can best apply the Mondopad-s features to their specific needs. Session topics may include video conferencing, whiteboard sharing, third-party applications and a wide range of other subjects.

“These training sessions are geared toward giving our customers the knowledge to help them best utilize the Mondopad,” said Duncan. “There are so many potential applications for the technology, and we want to make sure they know how to maximize their use of this cutting-edge solution. Users can customize the sessions to meet their particular needs and address any questions they might have.”

The Mondopad also features the company-s recently released version 1.6 software, which allows for annotation in more places and gives users the ability to seamlessly switch between the Mondopad software and third-party applications. The software also allows for the customization of whiteboard backgrounds and gives administrators the option to require domain logins for increased security. The Mondopad 1.6 software update is available for download now for current Mondopad users from the InFocus website.

The next iteration Mondopad will be available starting April 15 for a manufacturer-s suggested retail price of $6,999. Training is available immediately as well, with a two-hour session priced at $599 and a four-hour session at $899.
