In this role, Cumello will oversee all aspects of the company-s global marketing efforts, from product marketing to global brand development. Cumello brings significant experience with both equipment suppliers and, importantly, service providers to Cyan-s growing team. He was most recently vice president of marketing at , a major provider of fiber-based communications services to large enterprises, data centers, and carriers.

Prior to Sidera Networks, Cumello was vice president of marketing at SafeNet, a global provider of data protection solutions. Before SafeNet, Cumello worked eight years for Ciena as senior director of global marketing. There, he focused on the development of next generation optical and Ethernet services and accompanying marketing plans to support and grow Ciena-s service provider partners. He also oversaw Ciena-s industry and regional marketing efforts targeting the telecom, wireless backhaul, financial services, healthcare, and government markets across North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia.
