The mobile Smart Card for your PDA, now with more memory

The microSD card with the Smart Card Module is now available with 512 megabytes of flash memory. Acting as a hardware token, the certgate card-s Smart Card functions deliver the highest possible security for mobile applications in PDAs and smartphones.

IICS plans to expand the flash memory to 1 gigabyte later this year. “We-re allowing for the fact that business people who travel extensively will always need more memory for their mobile applications”, explained Dr. Paschalis Papagrigoriou, CEO of IICS.

Administrators also profit extensively from the additional memory, as it enables them to store an encrypted image of the complete device on the card. Then, if there-s a problem whilst on the road, users can restore their system themselves. Installation can even be automated, making it so much more efficient.

The certgate Smart Card is totally secure and all-purpose. More and more suppliers of security applications for PDAs and smartphones are turning to the cryptographic functions of the certgate card. Their major justification is the efficient and simultaneously secure execution of mobile business processes when coupled with smart card based authentication, encryption and digital signature.

The latest memory capacity is also available for another application: mobile banking. When linked with the solution for mobile HBCI Banking developed by IICS-s partner Subsembly the new card has no competition, especially with the introductory offer. The certgate card, including a licence for the FinPocket finance software package, costs just Euros 98.00. Just order it from the share*it! online shop or from the IICS homepage.
