bmcm introduces isolated differential amplifiers in miniature format

The importance and necessity to measure with electrical isolation is not obvious to many people, especially since using isolation amplifiers for each channel incurs additional costs.
However, who wants to make reliable statements about measurements, avoid unwanted interferences resulting from earth or ground loops, or separate potentials to protect PC and measurement system, cannot do without galvanic isolation.

This can easily be achieved with the isolation amplifiers MAL-ISO50/10/5/1 from BMC Messsysteme GmbH (bmcm).
They remind of the famous Danish building bricks for children, have the size and form of a 24-pole DIL IC, and in relation to size and pin assignment are compatible to other manufacturers.

The miniature amplifiers vary in measuring range (50V, 10V, 5V, or 1V). Voltage and current signals (only MAL-ISO1: 20mA) can perfectly be adjusted to the 5V input of a connected data acquisition system.
Especially to mention is the version MAL-ISO50, which, with the introduction of the 42V supply voltage, is particularly interesting for the automotive area.

Common-mode interferences often produced by machinery or other loads in industrial environment are effectively suppressed by the balanced input of the differential amplifier. The measuring signals present what actually is to be recorded.

The isolation modules can be used in any combination and with other measuring converters of the MAL series from bmcm. With this modular conception, an individual measurement system can be set up.

Backplanes (BP series) of different type (e.g. in a water-proof box, as PC slot card) and size (2, 8, or 16 slots) providing for comfortable connection and amplifier supply by the PC data acquisition system.

Measuring amplifiers in miniature format: This is not just true for the extremely compact design but also for the price allowing safe and reliable measurements with electrical isolation.
