Based on new driver technology by DisplayLink®, the leading provider of USB Graphics technology, existing Targus USB 3.0 Docking Stations now enable complete desktop flexibility and connectivity via a single USB cable for ultimate convenience.

Targus- docking stations now allows Intel based PC laptops and Mac® computers and also Windows 7 & 8 Pro tablet users to connect up to four displays and other necessary peripherals over a single plug-and-display USB cable. The new drivers are also backward compatible with the existing install-base of Targus- USB 3.0 Docking Stations (ACP70USZ and ACP71USZ).

Targus- USB 3.0 Universal Docking Stations allow users to connect a range of PC and Mac peripherals while capitalizing on the speed and performance of USB 3.0. Both devices include the four USB 2.0 ports and two USB 3.0 ports for connecting portable accessories such as HD drives, storage solutions, cameras and more. They also support resolutions of up to 2048 x 1152. The ACP71USZ includes an integrated, patent-pending laptop-charging feature, which provides extra power and can remain on even when the laptop is disconnected.

Both of Targus- new Universal USB 3.0 Docking Stations include video adapters that deliver 1080p video and graphics support via DisplayLink video compression. The docks also feature 1x DVI to VGA adapter and a HDMI to DVI adapter. The audio In/Out ports allow you to connect speakers, headphones or a microphone, and a security lock slot helps secure the dock and avoid theft. Both docks include a 6A AC adapter and a 2ft USB 3.0 cable to easily connect your device to a complete workstation — including dual monitors, a mouse, keyboard, printer and other peripherals you may need to connect.
