With its preliminary FDA application already approved, another key milestone for 2045Tech is protecting FLOOME-s innovative technology. A patent has been filed for a clever “vortex whistle” that measures the quantity of breath going through the device. In addition, sleek, fits-in-your-palm FLOOME incorporates the fuel cell sensors used in professional breathalyzers to detect ethanol molecules.
The ethanol information coupled with the volume of breath are calculated in the smartphone app, determining the Blood Alcohol Content (BAC). In fact, FLOOME is the first smartphone app/accessory to give precise BAC levels equivalent to those measured by the bulky, costly professional equipment used in the field. In addition, the device never needs charging.
