Planet Inventory, which supports both cloud-based and locally-hosted implementations, leverages Blue Planet-s element adapters (applications that facilitate control over a wide range of third-party network devices) in order to allow robust asset management and reporting in complex multi-vendor environments. Service providers, data center operators, and other network operators can reduce operating costs and accelerate service availability with the accurate network asset information delivered by Planet Inventory.

Because Blue Planet has direct access to the equipment, the data it provides represents the true state of the network.
