WASHINGTON, DC — (Marketwired) — 05/30/13 — — today announced that Upper Allegheny Health System (UAHS), which operates Bradford Regional Medical Center and Olean General Hospital in southwestern New York and northwestern Pennsylvania, has implemented the BridgeHead Healthcare Data Management (HDM) platform with MEDITECH ISB (Integrated Serverless Backup) and IDR (Integrated Disaster Recovery) Backup for its EMR system, as well as protection for its enterprise data.
The UAHS deployment is a prime example of the collaborative, 12-year partnership between BridgeHead Software, a leader in , and MEDITECH. For more than a decade, BridgeHead Software has helped thousands of MEDITECH hospitals, across North America and around the world, to manage and protect their healthcare data.
UAHS chose to consolidate on the MEDITECH EMR for both its hospitals with BridgeHead MEDITECH ISB and IDR for backup. The ISB/IDR protocol is certified by MEDITECH as being critical for ensuring the recovery of accurate patient data, by orchestrating the protection of that data from multiple MEDITECH File Servers at a single point-in-time. Building on its MEDITECH protection, UAHS also implemented BridgeHead HDM to protect and recover enterprise data, including hospital financial and back office information.
