Upgrade Lamp-Based Display Wall Cubes Quickly and Cost Effectively With New Mitsubishi Electric LED Upgrade Engine

IRVINE, CA — (Marketwired) — 06/11/13 — In a further nod to modularity in its display wall cubes designed for command and control or network operating centers, Mitsubishi Electric announces a new LED engine that will upgrade its older lamp-based 20-, 21- and 50-Series display wall cubes. The engine will be shown in Booth #3401 at InfoComm in Orlando, June 12-14, 2013.

This new upgrade engine gives Mitsubishi Electric legacy display wall system users a quick path to bringing the latest technology to their older cubes, making their display walls even brighter and more energy efficient. And because the cubes are modular, there is an inherent cost savings to upgrading only parts of the cube while minimizing operational disruption.

“With up to 80,000 hours lifetime for the new LED light source, the Mitsubishi Electric upgrade engine can breathe new life into an older lamp-based Mitsubishi Electric display wall system, giving it renewed efficiency and cost effectiveness,” said James Chan, vice president, marketing, Mitsubishi Electric Visual Solutions America, Inc. “You don-t have to change the structure of your existing wall, and a quick and easy engine upgrade means minimum downtime for your operation.”

Two VS-50XLW20U display wall cubes will be side by side on the show floor. One will use the legacy lamp-based engine, the other will show the new LED engine, highlighting the improvements garnered by installing the upgrade.

The LED Upgrade engines will be available in XGA and SXGA+ and are targeted to ship in the fourth quarter of 2013.
