Cirrity Launches vStream(TM) Disaster Recovery and Data Protection Solution

ATLANTA, GA — (Marketwired) — 06/21/13 — Cirrity, the secure and compliant cloud services provider, has launched vStream to help companies protect their most valuable corporate resource, their data. vStream is a Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) solution that automates real-time disaster recovery (DR) to the cloud.

The vStream hypervisor-based solution combines near-continuous replication with block-level, application-consistent data protection across hosts and storage. It allows businesses of all sizes to cost-effectively protect production applications both to the cloud and in the cloud. Highly scalable and easy to manage, vStream allows organizations to securely and cost-effectively meet regulatory and compliance guidelines.

“DR to the cloud serves as a more effective alternative to in-house DR sites and is considered by many enterprises as a natural first step in the journey to the cloud,” says Andrew Albrecht, COO of Cirrity. “With Cirrity, there is no need to worry about compliance and security, allowing a wide range of businesses to leverage their existing virtualized environments and implement a real-time DR plan. The advantages offered by vStream include a cost-effective choice for businesses that need to ensure their data is completely safe and readily available should a system failure take place — even if it-s only for a few minutes.”

vStream offers the industry-s best recovery times, with Recovery Point Objective (RPO) in seconds and Recovery Time Objective (RTO) in minutes. The service is unique in eliminating the need to match storage-to-storage hardware; with vStream, any type of storage can be replicated to the Cirrity cloud sites in Atlanta or Phoenix.

Powering vStream is Zerto-s patent-pending Virtual Replication technology. Zerto-s solution is made up of two components: The Zerto Virtual Manager which plugs directly into VMware-s vCenter and manages replication for the vSphere domain, and Zerto-s Virtual Replication Appliance, a single software-based VRA that is quickly installed on each host and is capable of protecting all the VMs on that host.

“Cirrity hosts vStream on a secure and compliant cloud infrastructure that is built on enterprise-class hardware,” explains Dan Timko, President and CTO of Cirrity. “vStream employs leading edge technology, however the system we have created is easy to manage, and we remove all of the headaches from implementation. SMB and Enterprise end users will find a new tab in their vCenter management portal that provides easy access to the vStream product.”

Cirrity is a channel-focused cloud services provider supporting managed services providers (MSPs), value-added resellers (VARs) and independent software vendors (ISVs) with highly scalable and geographically redundant infrastructure as a service (IaaS) platforms. Cirrity-s industry-leading SLAs and high performance infrastructure, combined with a security and compliance focus, provides partners and customers with a secure and highly available platform to leverage the advantages of cloud computing. The company-s industry-leading vStream solution automates real-time disaster recovery to the cloud to protect an organization-s most valuable asset, its data.
