Xumanii(R) Files US Patent Application for System, Method and Device for Live Stream Editing

CARSON CITY, NV — (Marketwired) — 07/10/13 — Xumanii® (the “Company”) (OTC Pink: XUII) (OTCQB: XUII), a company that has developed proprietary technology capable of broadcasting live concerts and events in True HD wirelessly from multiple cameras for a significantly lower production cost than existing methods today, announced that it has filed a US patent application for System, Method and Device for Live Stream Editing through its Intellectual Property Law Firm FeldmanGale.

While the live editing of video stream has been known for decades, most news or media services provide live broadcasts and/or live updates to viewers with the ability to change from camera to camera, swapping between video feeds or mixing video feeds. Traditionally, this has been accomplished using highly specialized and expensive equipment such as tri-casters with add-on sound delay equipment and other devices. With the advent of the Internet and live-stream video technology such as webcams and face-to-face communication software virtually anybody can stream live video of events, video games, or even home videos. Non-professional users however have little to no options with respect to editing their live stream. Generally, a camera can be set up to transmit directly to a computer or server where it is then published via the Internet, and rudimentary tools may provide the option of adding a simple overlay to the video. Amateur film producers looking to use several camera sources to produce a single video stream generally cannot do so in a real-time setting because current live-video editing equipment is typically cost prohibitive. Because of this, there is a long felt need for an inexpensive solution which can provide amateurs with video editing tools that have similar features and options to those found in professional-grade equipment. Xumanii-s patent pending technology is designed to provide users a cost effective, high quality solution using relatively inexpensive software and hardware enabling users to live-edit video streams.

The Company-s concept also offers an innovative video encoding device, which allows any HD camera to provide a video stream to a computing device. While professional grade cameras, such as those used by television news crews, may come with wireless transmission functionality built in, these cameras are very expensive and outside of the price range of most amateur film makers. Xumanii-s video encoding device provides a novel combination of existing technologies to provide a lower cost solution that can convert a regular digital video camera into a live video stream source.

Once a live stream video has been encoded, edited and published, consumers can download and watch. Most servers put artificial limitations on the download speed and bandwidth allotted per connection so even where a user may have a fast internet connection, intermediary servers may still be a bottleneck to the users- ability to view a live stream or to the quality of the image the user receives. Xumanii-s novel manner of increasing bandwidth works in such circumstances by presenting a video player software that opens a multi-threaded connection between the user-s computer and the server publishing the video feed so the packets of the video feed are split between the multi-threaded connection and reassembled on the user-s computer in order to increase performance beyond the limits placed by the server or intermediary servers for single-thread connections.

The patent application also includes a novel incentivized social media promotional method for social networking sites such as Facebook® which the Company developed that enables users to become promoters for their favorite artists/content providers.

Xumanii-s founder and CEO Alexandre Frigon states, “Our technology is highly disruptive and is a game changer on so many levels for so many industries and needs to be protected. Filing this patent is another key step in the execution of our business model.”

Xumanii® (“XUII” or the “Company”) is an all-inclusive online platform that provides users the opportunity to create a “Live Broadcast” in True HD. Xumanii-s® new, patent pending technology integrates proprietary hardware and software wirelessly, streaming live feeds from multiple cameras in High Definition Audio/Visual with capabilities of up to 10 megabits per seconds. This technology integrated Hardware and Software allows for the highest quality “live broadcast” without the exorbitant expenditure of traditional methods currently used in the marketplace via the respective Artist-s Channel on Xumanii.com. The Company-s technology can also be provided to each Artist allowing them to broadcast any event in which they would like their fans to be a part of.
