ConnecTV Team Produces Primetime Emmy(R) Awards Nominations Live Chat

LOS ANGELES, CA — (Marketwired) — 07/17/13 — ConnecTV, the social network for TV fans, today announced that it is working with the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to produce a special live chat that will occur in sync with the Primetime Emmy® Awards nominations broadcast airing Thursday morning, July 18. The live chat produced by ConnecTV will allow millions of television fans to cheer and react to the nominations for their favorite television programs and performers as they are revealed.

As the Primetime Emmy finalists are announced live, early Thursday morning, ConnecTV-s team will chat in real-time from 5:15 – 6:00 am PDT on twitter, using the hashtag #emmyschat to create real time conversation. The co-hosts for the live chat are Kirstin Benson, ConnecTV-s Entertainment producer-moderator, and Michael Buckley, ConnecTV-s Resident Host and internet personality. The nomination announcement will be carried live by most broadcast networks along with CBS.com at 5:40 am PDT. An entire pre- and post-nomination presentation will be streamed live on emmys.com and yahoo.com from 5:15 – 6:00 am PDT.

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences 65th Primetime Emmy® Awards, which celebrates the best of national primetime programming, will air LIVE on September 22nd on CBS at 8pm ET/5pm PT.
