Recent Acquisitions in APP Space Bode Well for LifeApps Digital Media

SAN DIEGO, CA — (Marketwired) — 07/25/13 — The OTC Journal, the longest running electronic newsletter focused on the small cap and microcap sectors, notes a recent flurry acquisitions in the APP space are starting to create investor interest in the sector.

LifeApps Digital Media (OTCQB: LFAP) is uniquely positioned in the mobile sector as one of the few companies that has tied APPs to physical products in sports and fitness.

Businesses recognize mobile solutions are becoming a key component in their growth strategies. Nokia recently released a study demonstrating the average user checks their mobile phone about 150 times per day.

By the end of 2013 there will be more mobile phones than people on Earth. At present, approximately 28% of media budgets are devoted to digital spend. The advertising spend on mobile strategies is expected to swell to nearly 40% by 2016 according to PricewaterhouseCoopers.

China-s giant search engine company Baidu recently entered an MOU (memo of understanding) to purchase 91 Wireless from parent company NetDragon for $1.9 billion in cash. 91 Wireless is an APP development company.

Yahoo!-s resurgence this year from $20 to a recent high of $30 in 2013 has been fueled by acquisitions. New CEO Marissa Mayer has been employing start-up purchases to reinvigorate the company and secure talent.

Recently, Yahoo! acquired Bignoggins, the creators of several sports related mobile apps for an undisclosed amount.

With the burgeoning growth of mobile usage comes the need for mobile solutions. In the sports and fitness arena, LifeApps (OTCQB: LFAP) has already published the first three editions of its Digital Magazine YouWorkout to critical acclaim, and launched the CoreGrip golf fitness device that is tied to an instructional APP. The CoreGrip is already available through Amazon and Groupon.

LifeApps (OTCQB: LFAP) has also succeeded in introducing specialized workout APP MDWorkout designed for diabetics and others seeking a workout routine and performance tracking on their mobile device.

Larry Isen, Editor of the OTC Journal, states:

“In my view, it-s only a matter of time before investors seek smaller, innovative companies in the mobile space. LifeApps (OTCQB: LFAP), as one of the few companies that has tied APP development to physical products, is uniquely positioned to attract investor attention as their product portfolio grows and existing products generate higher levels of revenue. To experience the quality of their content, I strongly recommend you subscribe to YouWorkout through the iTunes Store or Google Play on your tablet device. The experience represents the future of magazine publishing.”
