The ION x4120-1048 addresses these network challenges by converting between one 10GBase-T RJ-45 port and one pluggable, MSA compatible 10GBase-X fiber SFP+ port. Power consumption is an additional concern, particularly for data center operators. Aligned with today-s energy consumption trends, the ION x4120-1048 meets the IEEE 802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet standard by detecting UTP cable length and reducing power consumption accordingly.
