“Private SaaS” Emerges as the Next Wave of Innovation Beyond Private Cloud Within the Enterprise

ALISO VIEJO, CA — (Marketwired) — 09/19/13 — , the first IBM Technology Provider Partner certified as “Ready for IBM SmartCloud,” today announced the publication of a new whitepaper that examines how an innovative Private SaaS platform enables enterprises to take even greater advantage of the efficiencies of the cloud.

“Private SaaS: The Next Big Wave of Innovation for the Enterprise” outlines the significant economic gains and utility of Private SaaS within an enterprise and its “extended enterprise” that includes vendors, customers and supporting partners.

“Enterprises are looking for ways to offer their internal applications -as a Service- to their internal or ecosystem entities in a safe, efficient and manageable way and Corent is providing an innovative and differentiated solution for enabling this,” said Al Hilwa, Program Director for IDC-s Application Development Software research.

“The same imperatives that are driving the software market to the SaaS business model are equally applicable within the enterprise. The need for more efficient methods of deploying, delivering, managing and updating software that comes with SaaS approach can significantly raise the value provided by the IT organization,” explained Jeff Kaplan, Managing Director, THINKstrategies, Inc.

Private SaaS is a term that Corent popularized as part of an earlier, thought leadership Corent whitepaper published on IBM developerWorks in 2010 which was translated to several European and Asian languages due to the global recognition it received.

“CIOs can implement Private SaaS as the cornerstone of their enterprise application modernization initiatives and to recast their existing IT applications portfolio as a profit center rather than a classic cost center, and deliver software services faster, with lowest cost of service, and with improved management visibility and control,” elaborated Feyzi Fatehi, CEO, Corent Technology.

“Corent SurPaaS platform disrupts the existing IT architecture paradigm and allows for the rapid transition into SaaS solutions,” said Mario Leone, the Managing Partner of Apri Technology Partners and the former Global CIO at Ingram Micro, who recently joined Corent as the chairman of its Technology Advisory Board. “With Corent SurPaaS, CIOs can quickly become SaaS providers within their own extended global enterprises for both homegrown and third party applications.”
