AMAX-s PHAT Data cluster demonstrated superior manufacturing design and optimization for Hadoop workloads, and when configured with a data compression accelerator, is capable of performing a 1TB Terasort in under 24 minutes using only 3 nodes. The solution can either be geared towards performance optimization, demonstrating 40% better performance than comparable Hadoop clusters of the same size, or can be geared towards density- and cost-efficiency by achieving similar performance to comparable clusters using 30% fewer nodes or 50% fewer hard drives.
