The reliable industrial mGuard security appliances are now available in powerful mobile variations. Noteably interesting for machinery and plant engineering with high export share: a combined mobile engine for 4 GSM and 5 UMTS/HSPA frequencies and the US CDMA2000 EV-DO standard, the new mGuard devices provide a nearly global coverage. Provider redundancy with 2 SIM cards is supported. Via GPS/GLONASS, location information for mobile applications and global time synchronisation for stationary systems is provided. Using the integrated COM server, also serial devices can communicate worldwide without additional protocol converter securely over Ethernet and VPN connections. The integrated managed switch and dedicated DMZ port support the setup of secure local network structures, such as with separation of production and engineering network.
