“This is a tremendous honor,” said Dr. Burton. “I-ve been blessed to have had three meaningful careers in healthcare. In the second of those careers, I was grateful to Intermountain Health Care for encouraging me to help lead transformations in healthcare financing and delivery that have been widely adopted by the industry and have contributed to improving the clinical effectiveness, cost-effectiveness and safety of care for patients in Utah and across the country.”

The annual “healthcare heroes” recognition acknowledges excellence and innovation within the healthcare system and contributes to continuously improving the standard of care that Utah-s organizations provide.
