Morweb CMS Uses HTML5, Responsive Design to Help Eliminate Poverty

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — (Marketwired) — 10/16/13 — , the award-winning content management system that is revolutionizing responsive design simplicity, today announced a new, website built pro bono for . The new responsive design website allows United Way to deliver visually engaging content to mobile users. The organization expects to effectively reach and retain 30-40% more of its target audience with the Morweb CMS site redesign.

“Technology and accessibility are critical to an organization-s success, particularly in the Bay Area,” said United Way of the Bay Area Communications Director Sarah Mahmood. “We knew it was important to make our website responsive as we focus on reaching a community of younger and highly mobile prospective volunteers, donors and advocates. In the nonprofit space, however, staying up-to-date with technology is not always possible. Through Morweb-s generosity and vision, this is now a reality.”

“Any organization needing the best available Web- and mobile technology should have access to it in an affordable, manageable way,” said Morweb CMS CEO, Murad Bushnaq. “To support this, we have a program that brings extraordinary responsive design technology, and our easy-to-use platform to organizations who need it, and are a contribution to society.”

The new United Way of the Bay Area is bold and visual. With encouragement from Morweb, the United Way dug into its archives and uncovered a number of the stunning images used on the website. “Murad and his team took our current assets and leveraged them to our benefit by making the emotive aspect of our work front and center on the new site,” said Mahmood.

The United Way was compelled to synthesize the messaging and Web structure of its complex organization to match its new, modern Web design. Morweb enabled United Way workers to more easily manage and update content, gaining immediate operational efficiencies. With five unique programs in operation, employees are empowered to adjust the websites for which they are stakeholders, relieving the burden of a central administrator.

“The Morweb team is full of experts,” said Mahmood. “They answered all of our questions seamlessly and guided us through each decision.”

The United Way website is part of Morweb CMS-s ongoing goodwill program, The Morweb Makeover. Every quarter, Morweb CMS donates a $25,000 website to a non-profit, and promotes it through the company-s social channels, brand influencers, and strategic partners. United Way is the second recipient; Morweb CMS kicked off the program in Q3 2013 with the Berkeley Humane Society.

“We-re successfully demonstrating that building and maintaining a beautiful website doesn-t have to be costly or limiting for organizations,” said Bushnaq. “We-re proud to make HTML5 responsive design and mobile-optimized technology available to the non-profits that are improving the way everyone lives.”

Morweb CMS (content management system) is the software brain child of a full service interactive agency, Morad Media. Morweb CMS uses the latest in HTML5 technology and responsive design theory to produce remarkable desktop and mobile sites that are managed with intuitive, drag-and-drop operation and in-context editing. Morweb CMS was designed by experts, but for everyday people, and based on familiar social media and mobile applications, and with zero design limitations.
