PALO ALTO, CA — (Marketwired) — 10/17/13 — today announced that Steve Valenzuela has joined the company as chief financial officer (CFO). With over thirty years of high tech experience, including fifteen years as a public and private company CFO, Valenzuela brings direct experience with high growth companies in emerging markets. He will play a key role in guiding Apigee as it continues to shape digital businesses built on apps, data and APIs.

Valenzuela joins Apigee from Citrix, where he served as vice president of finance and operations for the mobile platforms group. Prior to Citrix, Steve was CFO at Zenprise, where he played a key leadership role in the successful sale and integration of Zenprise into Citrix. He also served as CFO for Rainmaker Systems, where he completed a secondary public offering on NASDAQ, and as CFO of PlanetRx, where he drove a successful IPO with Goldman Sachs as the lead banker. Before this, Steve was the CFO of LinkExchange, which was acquired by Microsoft. Earlier, Steve held financial leadership roles at Tandem Computers, Atari and Intel.
